The Rebel Flag puts pride in a Southerner for reasons that only a Southerner can understand.
It's ironic that someone would form the Southern flag into a communist symbol since the only Nazi-like oppressor I see here are the yankees.

I cant beleive you. My family fought in the civil war. we didnt have slaves or annthing like that in western virginia. Sory but you need a history leason, my family fought for state rights git a grip!!!!!!

This is a perfect example of how people spread there ignorance. The war began in 1861 when Southern states declared themselves independent by secession and formed the Confederacy. It is a fact that when the armies for the North and South were first formed, only a small minority of the soldiers on either side would have declared that the reason they joined the army was to fight either "for" or "against" slavery. The reason they joined the Army was because of the constitutional argument over whether or not a state had a right to leave the Union, and--of primary concern to most southern soldiers--the continuation of antebellum southern culture. The farmers of the south wanted “state rights” (it was the politicians in the south that wanted the right to own slaves) so as the southern farmers fought for freedom from the union the politicians secretly fought for the right to own slaves. The Southern farmers who fought weren’t even wealthy enough to own slaves. So basically the whole south and its flag have been labeled because of political misjudgment. The president is from Houston why don’t we blame Texas for the war in Iraq so in 50 years when our children’s children are learning the significance of their past maybe Texas flags will be banned from school because of the ignorance of a politician and because of the misguided story telling of uneducated blog writers.
It's people like you that keep racism alive I hope my children never have to deal with someone who spreads their ignorance the way that you are.

It continually amazes me how the occasional metropolitan city-goers of Northern, Midwestern or West Coast heritage are so willing to jump up and down on the heritage of another region. I think that if such a person would *actually* immerse themselves in the culture, they'd find their misguided concepts completely out of place.
Living in both North and South, I find only Northerners more likely to focus on racism, slavery, and other such hateful notions. Meanwhile, a vast majority of Southerners have learned from our ancestors' ignorance and grown to know that race, creed, religion - anything that distinguishes one human from another - is perfectly acceptable.
Thank you for using your freedom of speech to continu breeding ignorance and stereotypical thoughts in the world.

first off the red white blue design nazi flag was used in 1976 in the bicentennial in front of the White house because Jimmy carter was to stupid to secure the permits and the National Socialist White Peoples Party applied for the Raly Permit and Got it. The Flag was a red field with a blue diamond surrounded by a thin white trim with a White swastika in the center. The Southern battle flag was not the first choice to replace the 1st national They replaced the first national because it was to similar to the Union flag and this in the smokey battlefield got General Jackson Killed. The flag that was selected was red with a blue horizontal bar and a blue vertical bar. with white stars, The Atlanta council of Rabbis complained to the Confederate congress that the design looked to papish (Cathoilc) the government agreed and settled on the battleflag as we know it today over the objections of the generals who called it a pair of suspenders. It is Important to remember that the The Confederate government was fighting for their Ideals and that they were Americans. the average soldier of any army is fighting to stay alive. There has never been a court session to decide as to if the sucession was legal, no one was ever prosecuted for sucession.Lincoln a powerful neo con was a madman who resorted to the draft, and to the first income tax. The New American Nazis would be disgusted with your comparison to Bush. mr Bush is a race traitor who has presided over the Mexican conquest of American Territory and the Israeli conquest of the Pentagon. If i am wrong why is Mr perle a traitor who was caught passing classified documents to the Isrealis in the 1970's when he was on senator Jacksons staff, working for the Bush white House in a non elected position above the soldiers who devoted their lives to the US Mmilitary, so is the attorney who defended him amd a pack of clowns who owe their loyalty to a foreign nation. Well i'm sick of people equating the confederate battle flag to a nazi symbol. Nazi's were facist's as well as self proclaimed socialist's. The whole concept of the secession of the south was to regain personal independence. Now last time I checked it's very difficult to be a socialist facist and be independent. So both Neo-Nazi's as well as any Southerner proud of their heritage such as me are angry at you. Besides that all these people are right you really need a history lesson. I'm surprised you've gotten this old being that stupid but hell what do I know.
